Introduction: The Eagles Nest Self Catering holiday home is yet another new and superior standard by which the quality, presentation and design of holiday homes in the beautiful South Western corner of Ireland will be measured.
Extensive renovation and modernization was completed on the Eagles Nest in early July 2007. From the outset of this project, the final goal was to produce a high quality, self catering holiday residence which encompassed everything and more that the holiday maker with a discerning taste would appreciate.
Three bedrooms, two designer bathrooms, oil central heating, a seperate laundry/utility room, a multi fuel stove, 2 LCD television screens/satellite television, 2 DVD players, surround sound stereo, wireless broadband internet throughout, outdoor entertainment speakers, tasteful Italian tiling and solid timber flooring underfoot, all surrounded with absolutely stunning sea and countryside panoramas - Eagles Nest will comfortably accomodate six discerning holiday makers.
A newly designed entrance porch is bright, spacious and modern. Underfoot is classic Italian tiling flowing through to the wide hallway. Decor and colour choice has been carefully selected to produce a bright, easy going, summer like ambience as a first impression as you enter the residence.
The living room is without doubt a feature of the Eagles Nest. A large vaulted ceiling with three large windows and a 3.5 metre sliding door provide natural lighting from all directions. Views from these large glass panels sweep spectacularly over the Atlantic Ocean, the expansive cliffs protecting the Irish coastline from its often wild and spectacular waters, ancient islands scattered along the coast, the secluded and tranquil harbour of Tragumna Bay with its Blue Flag Beach and further inland to the rolling mountains and hills of Irelands famous West Cork scenery. Indeed, taking this in with your first morning coffee will have you convinced there is no need to leave the home to see more of Ireland!
A large stone feature wall inside the living room, with an inlaid widescreen LCD Television CD/DVD player, sat TV, a large leather couch and a cosy multi fuel fireplace, all tastefully selected and set amongst other carefully selected pieces of imported furniture will leave you wanting nothing as you relax in your home.
The kitchen was completely replaced in the modernization project, the end result is a fully equipped, state of the art cooking environment comprising of ivory coloured cabinetry, a hardwood teak worktop with integrated appliances, a large fridge/freezer with integrated ice dispenser and cold water tap, a 5 ring gas stove top and chrome appliances. A pleasurable environment from which to create your culinary delights!
The master bedroom has a large 6 foot King size bed, a flat screen LCD Television with DVD player, fitted wardrobes, a designer style ensuite with floor to ceiling tiling throughout, a large walk in shower and chrome heated towel rails. A sliding door from the bedroom opens onto the outdoor timber decking to provide spectacular ocean/countryside views.
The second bedroom has a large queen size bed, fitted wardrobes and a sliding door which opens onto the outdoor decking with stunning views again.
Bedroom three has two single beds and has ample space to accomodate two people comfortably.
The main bathroom, styled with designer tiles, extra deep bath/overhead shower with glass panelling and chrome heated towel rails is a delightful environment to pamper oneself.
Stretching out of the living room and two of the bedrooms, is a massive decking which provides an even more stunning vista. Over 180 degrees of breathtaking scenery. The elevation of the outdoor decking is such, it leaves the observer with a feeling of floating over the marvellous landscape, across the rolling green hills, the towering cliff faces and the Atlantic Ocean. The yard is expansive and regrassed, surrounded by high hedges offering seclusion and privacy for all, without impeding the stunning vistas.
Parking is ample for up to 6 cars. Outdoor sensor lights aid your access at night, switiching on automatically as vehicles approach the residence.
