Croatia
Introduction: The Adriatic is a brand new spacious and tastefully furnished first floor apartment, 70 m from the beach and with a balcony that boasts a lovely sea view with the mountains of the mainland behind. It is situated on a quiet street with olive groves around, yet just 100 m from the centre of the charming old town of Sutivan.
The Apartment has been decorated and finished to an order superceding most Holiday letting residences.
The owners spend a great deal of time here themselves thus creating a very homely and comfortable atmosphere in the apartment.
Both bedrooms are spacious and the open plan living area provides ample room for everyone as it naturally spills out onto the large balcony with sweeping views of the ocean and the mountainous mainland in the distance.
The kitchen is fully equipped for those that prefer to organise their own meals and the village centre is only a 7 minute walk away for those that can’t resist the temptation of cosy hospitable restaurants serving the freshest of seafood imaginable, the most tender of steaks and the tastiest home made wine served straight from the owner’s barrels.
Two reverse cycle air conditioners either end of the apartment ensure a cool interior in the summer and a warm cosy place in the winter.
Relax in the sun and enjoy the beach listening only to the sound of the waves. Hire a boat for the day and find yourself a deserted beach to claim as your own. You can take a car, a scooter or even a bike and explore the island with its wild countryside and many beautiful old stone villages. If you come in the high season of July and August take the 10 minute drive to Supetar and experience the nightlife and fun of the island’s main town or stay in the quieter town of Sutivan and relax in one of the cafes, bars or restaurants.
This is certainly a place - as we the owners have found - that will keep calling you back in years to come.
The Balcony is the centre of living in the summer. Village church bells can be heard throughout the day, waves lapping the seafront on a quiet night and sweeping views of the ocean are second to none.
This year, a large traditional Brac Stone kitchen breakfast bar has been installed. This also has four stools surrounding it. On the Balcony, a large outdoor dining table has chairs to seat 8 people.
Very rare in rental properties in Croatia is two air conditioners. This apartment will be as cool or as warm as the individual likes any season of the year with this popular extra.
Sat TV has all the usual favourites, a selection of over 900 channels including BBC Prime, Sky TV, Movie Channels, Radio Channels, many other channels in all mainstream European languages.
Sutivan has a vibrant buzzing atmosphere in the peak of the summer without loosing its famous village like charm.
Water sports are an obvious favourite in the summer as well as utilising the many kilometres of trails meandering through the mountains and along the coastline of the island. Day trippers and picnickers love this area as well as outdoor action enthusiasts who often can be seen climbing the mountains, kayaking the coastline or mountain biking along the more adventurous trails.
Opportunities to hire Scooters, mountain bikes, guides or boats are available. Deep sea fishing and Diving Companies also operate from the village in the summer.
Many people opt for a quieter holiday and spend the day relaxing on the balcony, taking strolls through the old town nestled amongst centuries old buildings and twisting cobble stoned streets.
The cafes and bars are open from early to late allowing many chances to sit in the sunshine watching the world go by, as the sun sets, the bars become livelier as locals and holiday makers share seats next to each other chatting away into the night.
Sutivan is one of the increasingly rare places in this world where time seems to have slowed and as the days slide by you find yourself looking for ways of extending your stay on this magical island.
